Apelsin: Growth
A decade after the capital’s club movement was born, the city’s lack of suitably sized venues for major events had become quite obvious. Club promoters were sick of stepping on each other’s toes while looking for amply sized premises for crowds of more than 500 clubbers. But party organizers can breathe a sigh of relief: The era of enormous premises able to host club events of any scale has finally arrived. The first cab off the rank seems to be the brand-new &Club on Malaya Gruzinskaya Ulitsa, scheduled to open Dec. 5.

Last December, the ambitious owners of the Apelsin bowling center finally thought of a profitable use for their spare real estate. Aware of their property’s great potential but realizing that they could hardly succeed in the club business alone, the inventive businessmen started looking for a knowledgeable team of clubbing insiders.

The task at hand was to turn an old factory into a well-equipped 1,500-square-meter venue suitable for any kind of clubbing activity. The chosen promoters happened to be the cream of clubbing society — the Zeppelin team, which acted as consultants and creative strategy planners.

Thanks to their fruitful cooperation, the former factory was turned into a multi-level entertainment center, featuring bars, a restaurant, a chill-out room, some VIP zones and a well decked-out dancefloor with a transforming stage. As a result, &Club is suitable for the full gamut of entertainment activities — from live concerts to fashion shows and theater performances.

The entertainment program seems to be sticking to the opening night formula featuring Zeppelin resident DJs as well as international guests.
