In early October, NVM Marketing released a top-of-the-pops hit parade of the capital’s eateries. Broken in to two categories — fast food and high cuisine — the charts rated the name recognition of Moscow’s restaurants.
The best-known fast food eateries:
Rostik’s, 82% recognition; McDonald’s, 71%; Yolki-Palki, 50%; Il Patio (Patio Pizza), 32%; coffee shops (combined on the whole), 32%; and Sbarro, 29%.
Best-known high-cuisine restaurants: Pushkin, 42% recognition; Vanil, 38%; Tsarskaya Okhota, 19%; Mario, 15%; Shatush, 15%; and Metropol, 15%.
