Inspired by the early experiments of avant-garde ’60s noisemakers, Pram was founded in Birmingham in 1990. Initially it featured just Rosie Cuckston’s vocals and the sound of a homemade theremin, but by 1992, Pram had gained a whole bunch of new members, introducing a unique mixture of hypnotic beats flavored with toy pianos, triangles, glass hammers and even a Hawaiian bubble machine. Those not familiar with such instruments have a wonderful chance not only to see them but also to hear them in use this month when Pram takes the stage at B2.
