The third “Russkiye Vechera” festival of Russian arts was held this autumn at 20 venues in New York City, with more than 150 participants in theater, cinema, animation, literature, poetry and other creative arts. Highlights included the New York premiere of the 1918 film “Baryshnya i Khuligan,” starring a youthful Vladimir Mayakovsky.
Keks was the place to be on Nov. 20, when quirky Italian lounge duo Settebello Unlimited took the stage after a DJ set by music critic Artemy Troitsky.
The “Kult Krasnogo” exhibit at Novinsky Passazh starred the color red. A “Greenwich Time” show is planned for Dec. 1-10, followed by a Christmas display.
All the stars were out for the presentation of Absolut’s musical project “Absolut Tracks” at Maisoncafe, with cocktails and international performers.
