Blue Bird's Jazzy Beat
The city’s oldest jazz club, Sinyaya Ptitsa, or Blue Bird, celebrates its 40th anniversary this September. The historic venue owes its origin to the political “thaw” of the 1960s, which saw the opening of a dozen or so cafes run by Komsomol members.
