Simple elegance and history are intertwined at Osteria cafe, on a spot occupied by a tavern some 200 years ago. Gostiny Dvor, where the cafe is located, is undergoing renovation, but is relatively quiet — so break the day with an unhurried dinner or just stop by for drinks at the bar, where friendly, talkative barman Sasha may offer you a superb espresso or ristretto (both 70 rubles).
